Joel Chung

Joel graduated from the Singapore Management University with an LL.B. (Hons) in 2021, and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2022.  Although he is only at the start of his legal career, Joel has assisted in a wide and diverse range of both contentious and non-contentious matters, both when he was a practice trainee and as a legal associate. Some of the cases Joel has assisted in include an acrimonious matrimonial dispute before the Appellate Division of the High Court, a criminal matter involving sexual exploitation of a minor under the Children and Young Persons Act, as well as tenancy disputes amounting to over half a million dollars in claims.

 

Joel also has a keen interest in the law, particularly contract law, criminal law, and family law. This has caused him to naturally gravitate towards general litigation, focusing on key practice areas such as civil and criminal litigation, as well as family and matrimonial disputes.  However, Joel also actively involves himself in corporate and commercial matters by advising clients on corporate regulatory issues in a bid to become a more well rounded lawyer.

 

Joel joined NLC Law as a Legal Associate in August 2022 after being called to the Bar, and he will always strive to deliver quality legal service and representation to his clients, resolving their legal issues with speed and efficacy.
