CIVIL LITIGATION
Having started off as a boutique firm specializing in civil litigation, we pride ourselves for having argued (and won) some of the most groundbreaking cases in Singapore, including numerous Court of Appeal cases.
Our team is fast, effective, and has the relevant expertise to handle disputes across a wide spectrum of matters, including banking, commercial and contractual, construction, corporate, probate, property and shareholder disputes, securities litigation, cases involving civil fraud and misrepresentation, trust and tracing claims, and cases involving the freezing of assets and other urgent injunctions.
CORPORATE
We work with clients in both local and multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, assisting them from deal structuring to transaction completion. Project management is part and parcel of our work and with it, we manage and conduct due diligence exercises and assist clients with post-completion integration.
Our corporate practice also advises on private equity, venture capital, debt and equity issue, regulatory compliance, corporate reorganisation, corporate governance and company secretarial matters. Fund-raising, corporate restructuring exercises and issues concerning management and shareholder dynamics are some of our focus areas.
As our clients span a wide spectrum (large corporations, growing and start-up companies, venture capital funds, family offices and individuals), our experience is extensive and we always strive to tailor our solutions to provide clients with the legal support they require.
ARBITRATION
Aside from our civil litigation capabilities, we are familiar with both domestic and international arbitrations, be it under SIAC, ICC, LCIA or any other international arbitral institution. We are also frequently instructed by foreign counsel to advise and act in applications to support foreign arbitrations, such as applications to stay civil proceedings in favour of arbitration, as well as the enforcement / setting aside of arbitral awards in Singapore.
COMMERCIAL
We advise clients on a wide range of contracting needs, including e-payment solutions, non-disclosure, collaboration, technology, sale and purchase, marketing, distribution, procurement and outsourcing contracts.

INSOLVENCY & RESTRUCTURING
We have substantial experience in insolvency matters, and frequently advise and act for professional liquidators, or for creditors of an insolvent company seeking to protect their rights. If your company is facing financial trouble, we are also able to assist you in exploring other options, such as judicial management and schemes of arrangement.
BANKING & FINANCE
Our clients include local and overseas financial institutions. We support them on the guarantee and security packages to be taken from borrowers and other obligors, preparing agreements, issuing opinions and advising on security perfection and priority issues.
On the borrower side, we offer advice to corporations as well as individuals, assisting them in negotiating and understanding their obligations.
CRIMINAL LITIGATION, WHITE-COLLAR AND INVESTIGATIONS
We specialize in complex white-collar crime cases, and have acted for numerous high-profile accused persons. Our team has experience handling cases involving fraud, cheating, forgery, assault, unlawful assembly, rioting, bribery, sexual assault, drink-driving, money-laundering, criminal breach of trust, criminal intimidation, moneylending, traffic offences, computer misuse offences, and stalking and harassment charges. Our experience in making sense of sophisticated financial crimes also comes in handy in assisting our clients in detecting and investigating crime.
EMPLOYMENT MATTERS
Our team has substantial experience advising both employers and employees on employment matters. Our practice not only includes the drafting and review of employment agreements, employee handbooks, employee incentive plans, data protection policies and other employment documents, but also advising clients on discipline and performance management issues, retrenchment exercises, termination matters, post-employment restraints and confidentiality obligations.
In addition, we advise clients on risk and dispute management, including working alongside them in conducting employee interviews in potentially contentious circumstances.

We work with many clients in this space, helping them to navigate investor term sheets, fund-raising rounds, liquidation preferences, investors’ rights agreements and risk management.
